Saragunjam Maram
The Drumstick tree (Moringa oleifera), known as "Saragunjam Maram" in Tamil, is a fast-growing, drought-resistant tree native to the Indian subcontinent. It is widely cultivated for its nutritious leaves, pods, and seeds and is valued for its medicinal, culinary, and ecological benefits. Its leaves are small, green, and oval-shaped, and the tree produces long, slender pods known as drumsticks, which contain edible seeds.
